Good Afternoon,

Throughout my recent research for my new book I have stumbled upon some great reads and I'm taking the information and not only using for my professional development but also my personal life. I must admit to myself at times that I let my emotions get the best of me at times as we all can admit to at some point. There is no escaping the importance of emotions, and how they play a major role in our decision making, roles, and expectations. Some of us are more aware than others, but even the fly by the seat person is aware of the most important emotions, that being; happiness, fear and sadness. Of course other emotions come to mind such as being overwhelmed, joy, excitement, guilt, and the list goes on and on. Many times we allow our emotions to control us instead of us controlling them.

Emotions drive people to murder, suicide, self-mutilation but it also moves people to do some courageous, life-altering acts of heroism. The first step is being aware of the emotion you are feeling. How can you deal with being depressed if you don't know you are depressed or you can't recognize the symptoms. If we can't effectively deal with an important factor in our decision making process than we are already behind. Secondly, you must understand your pattern. We all have patterns of behavior. If you know that a certain emotion brings out of you a negative behavior than you will start to become aware of it and possibly change the behavior. No one wants to be with someone who can't control his or her temper. And last, find a method that works for you. I always breath, take a time out for myself and survey the situation before I react, it has worked out tremendously. Every one is different, find your zen, that peace, then you will be able to control the variety of emotions that hit you daily.

We all make mistakes, but we have to ask ourselves, could this have been avoided? And many times we make mistakes based off the fact that we are not aware of how we are feeling and haven't gave thought to how to react to those feelings. These are emotions folks, we even make mistakes out of happiness! Ever made a decision when you been in love that you may regret now? Everything is about balance and finding the proper mean for the mode. Its been a pleasure make sure you check out the website,, look out for more blogs and other events coming up. As always, I am you, you are me!
